DAC Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością realizuje projekt pn. „Air Energy” na podstawie Umowy o Wsparcie zawartej w dniu 17 lipca 2020 roku z Tech-Impact Fund Sp. z o.o. z siedzibą w Krakowie, Tech-Impact Fund Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością ASI sp. k. z siedzibą w Krakowie oraz Narodowym Centrum Badań i Rozwoju z siedzibą w Warszawie, współfinansowany ze środków Unii Europejskiej w ramach Programu Operacyjnego Inteligentny Rozwój 2014-2020, Działanie 1.3: Prace B+R finansowane z udziałem funduszy kapitałowych, Poddziałanie 1.3.1: Wsparcie Projektów badawczo-rozwojowych w fazie preseed przez fundusze typu proof of concept – Bridge Alfa.
Celem projektu jest opracowanie prototypu urządzenia chłodniczego, którego podstawą fizyczną jest przemiana adiabatyczna, a jedynym czynnikiem chłodzącym powietrze. Prototyp spółki DAC ma zapewnić ekologiczne, niedrogie, łatwe w instalacji rozwiązanie do tymczasowego przechowywania żywności, transportu lub klimatyzacji budynku. Technologia dynamicznego chłodzenia powietrzem ma potencjał, aby w pełni zastąpić obecnie używane urządzenia, znacząco zmniejszyć zużycie energii elektrycznej do chłodzenia i wyeliminować emisję CO2 z chłodzenia.
Planowanym efektem projektu jest testowe wdrożenie prototypu Air Energy u klientów w środowisku zbliżonym do rzeczywistego.
Wartość projektu: 1.050.000,00 PLN.
Wysokość dofinansowania projektu z UE: 840.000,00 PLN.
Support Agreement
DAC Sp. z o.o. is implementing a project called "Air Energy" on the basis of the Support Agreement concluded on July 17, 2020 with Tech-Impact Fund Sp. z o.o. based in Kraków, Tech-Impact Fund Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością ASI sp.k. with its registered office in Kraków and the National Center for Research and Development based in Warsaw, co-financed by the European Union under the Intelligent Development Operational Program 2014-2020, Activity 1.3 : R&D works financed with capital funds, Sub-measure 1.3.1: Support for research and development projects in the preseed phase by proof of concept funds - Bridge Alfa.
The aim of the project is to develop a prototype of a cooling device the physical basis for which is adiabatic transformation wherein air serves as the sole cooling agent. The DAC prototype seeks to serve as an ecologically-friendly, inexpensive and easy-to-install solution for temporary food storage, food transport and building air conditioning. Dynamic air cooling technology is intended to replace existing refrigeration equipment, significantly reduce electricity consumption for cooling and eliminate the CO2 emissions arising from existing cooling technologies.
The intended outcome of the project is the installation of test implementations of Air Energy prototypes at customer sites in applications reflecting a near as possible real-world environment.
Project value: PLN 1,050,000.00.
Co-financing of the project from the EU: PLN 840,000.00.

Background information
The EIC Accelerator offers start-ups and SMEs grants of up to EUR 2.5 million combined with equity investments through the EIC Fund ranging from EUR 0.5 to EUR 15 million. In addition to financial support, all projects benefit from a range of Business Acceleration Services that provide access to leading expertise, corporates, investors and ecosystem actors.
Since its launch in March 2021, over 4,000 start-ups and SMEs have sent their ideas and over 1800 have submitted full applications to the cut-offs in June and October. The companies announced today were among the 1109 who submitted to the second cut-off on 6 October, while the 65 companies selected following the June cut-off were announced already in October.
